There comes a time in the process of working with the soul when your anger holds you back from going any further. Your resentments distract you from who you really are, which is a being of love and divine peace. Forgiveness is difficult and takes time, but it’s worth it.
For me, the process of forgiveness is a well of wisdom, a transformative experience that allows me to get on with what I’m here to do on earth, which is to love all of you, of course. Trust me, you deserve my love and I deserve to love you.
Your anger is toxic. Angry emotions vibrate at a low frequency in your body. They are dense and heavy. You can feel that, right? Anger leads to stress and stress leads to disease. You can experience all sorts of problems, from the common cold to cancer.
When you emit these low frequency vibrations, you create a space that allows the very thing that made you angry in the first place to occur. On the other hand, higher vibrations always override lower vibrations. So when you raise your vibration, you provide a space for people to transform. And that’s just beautiful, folks.
You may not be convinced. You harbor some serious resentment. Someone has done something really horrible to you. Maybe you’re not ready to attempt to forgive. That’s totally okay. You need to live your life at the pace at which you live your life. You’ll know when you’re ready to forgive. When you’re ready to forgive, the resentment will feel like a fur jacket in summertime. If your anger is still keeping you warm, you might need a little time to experience that anger and grief before you’re ready.
It’s important that you don’t punish yourself for feeling angry or resentful because you need to first experience in order to release.
If you are still at this step in the process, working with the heart chakra will help you. Some crystals that can open the heart chakra are rose quartz, green aventurine, green calcite, clear quartz clusters, malachite and kunzite. I recommend combining any of these with smoky quartz and/or apache tears to keep things productive.
You can hold them when you meditate or place the stones over your heart chakra (in the middle of the chest) while lying down. You can also visualize your heart center opening like a lotus flower, or a door. As you inhale, imagine the breath entering through the heart chakra and filling. As you exhale, imagine your heart clean and clear of debris.
If you are familiar with the major chakra system (the first seven) it will help you to take a little time to breathe into your other chakras as well. You want balance. I recommend combining all of these techniques. You can use affirmations like “I am in tune with my heart” or “my heart is open”.
Practice saying one of these in your head throughout the day and see what happens. It doesn’t have to be complicated. Truth be told, the only thing you need in order to open your heart is the intention to do so.
The purpose of these exercises is to allow any suppressed anger or grief to surface and be realized. In part two of this article (coming next week!) I will provide methods for you to begin the process of forgiveness, and you can be on your way to knowing your true nature, which is pure love.
Peace and Blessings.
